A spate of mafia assassinations occurs in America, the work of the mysterious organization named Inferno. "Phantom" is their strongest and capable assassin, however a lone tourist witnesses Phantom's latest act of murder. He unwittingly exposes the top assassin's true identity, a young girl named Ein. Witnesses are usually killed, but the man is captured and taken to be brainwashed into "Zwei", Inferno's newest assassin, with no memory of who he is. From this point on, Zwei is drawn into a world of conspiracy, deceit and violence.
I know no one really posts here anymore but i thought this show was so good it needed a review anyway. soundtrack and art is excellent but what really set this apart for me were the characters and how the story was handled in relation to them. it kinda felt like a madlax / gungrave mix without all the supernatural stuff. the story revolves around mafia hitmen that have super skill / power, but it's kinda wierd in that they give them this super speed ability but the show never focuses on the powers or even on the underworld / mafia setting. instead it focuses entirelly on the environment that the characters are placed and how the deal with their situation. the story and characters were excellent. the way everything is done makes it so even when side characters get killed it feels important and tragic. theres plenty of moment that leave you holding your breath.
my only gripe with this show is that they have 2 recap episodes in a 26 episode show. the recap episodes have about 5 min of really important story information in them but its mixed into 20 min of recap which sucks.

IRC killed the forums, we're always there and never here.
I watched the first episode or two and meant to continue, but I never did for some reason. Maybe I'll pick it back up.
